The Risk Academy serves as a training facility for sustainable, practical and international education in the field of risk prevention and disaster management, with reference to current scientific, political and economically relevant aspects. It supports the transfer of knowledge through training courses, seminars, workshops and lecture series on current issues and new technologies as well as international experience. The training opportunities will be offered in Davos and in other places on an ad-hoc basis. In addition, the Risk Academy serves as a think tank for future-oriented solutions.

Particular attention is given to the promotion of young scientists in the field of strategic risk management. Thus, the possibility should be created to support, through a selective allocation of grants, outstanding young scientists from developing countries.

On the board is currently an executive master's program in Integral Risk and Disaster Management in collaboration with various universities (from autumn 2010).
